My Order Arrived Partially or Fully Defrosted — What Should I Do?Updated 8 days ago
First don't panic! We're here to make it right.
We use enough insulation and dry ice to last the duration of shipping but sometimes delays with carriers can happen. Just let us know right away and we'll get you a replacement. We cannot issue replacements for orders that were neglected and defrosted as a result.
Some additional context: a partially thawed delivery doesn't automatically mean a compromised one.
If your first arrived refrigerator-cold (below 40°F), or still partially frozen, it is still perfectly safe to refrigerate and consume within 1–3 days, or put back into the freezer. However, we guarantee frozen delivery because defrosting and re-freezing can compromise a fish's texture. Just let us know if you'd like a replacement for anything partially defrosted and we'll take care of it right away.
